NHS App

You can use the NHS App to check your symptoms and get instant advice, book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record and more.

What the NHS App does

  • contact your GP through Patchs: submit an online form to your GP
  • order repeat prescriptions: see your available medicines, request a new repeat prescription and choose a pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent to.
  • book appointments: search for, book and cancel appointments at your GP surgery, and see details of your upcoming and past appointments.
  • check your symptoms: search trusted NHS information and advice on hundreds of conditions and treatments, and get instant advice or medical help near you.
  • register your organ donation decision: choose to donate some or all of your organs and check your registered decision.
  • find out how the NHS uses your data: choose if data from your health records is shared for research and planning.
  • view parts of your GP record: including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results.

The new online consultation service offers a secure, simple and flexible way for patients and carers to contact their GP practice.

PATCHS is an online consultation service that allows you to quickly and easily access GP services. Answer a few simple questions and PATCHS will get you the help you need.

The new online consultation service offers a secure, simple and flexible way for patients and carers to contact their GP practice.

Simply answer 4 questions to get help quickly (a response will be provided in two working days). Health Advice, Video Consultations, Fit Notes, Medication & more – find out more about PATCHS.

Submit a PATCHS consultation

Patient Access

Patient Access connects you to local health services when you need them most. Book GP appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view blood results and discover local health services for you or your family via your mobile or home computer.

All of this can be easily accessed on the internet from home, work or on the move – day or night Patient Access is always available to use.

Online services allow you to:

  • book, check or cancel appointments with a GP, nurse or other healthcare professional
  • order repeat prescriptions
  • see parts of your health record, including information about medicines, vaccinations and test results
  • see communications between your GP surgery and other services, such as hospitals

To register with Patient Access:

  1. First complete the Patient Access Registration Form: Patient Access Registration Form (DOCX, 29KB)
  2. Provide 2 proofs of ID i.e. passport and driving license
  3. Hand the completed form + photo ID in reception
  4. Once you have successfully completed the above you will be provided with a Linkage key from us.
  5. Visit the official Patient Access’ page by clicking the button below. Please note you will need to Linkage key we previously provided you to successfully Register.
